Now hear this...

Today was Isaac's follow-up appointment with the audiologist and ENT specialist. The results of the visit: his hearing is normal in his left ear and slightly decreased in his right ear. The ENT specialist believes the hearing decrease is due almost entirely to fluid behind his ear. At this point, he just wants to treat Isaac for air born allergies to see if that can decrease the inflammation, which should, in turn, decrease the fluid build-up. I am very thankful that the doctor is looking to avoid surgery to put tubes in. He said today that that would be the last resort if nothing else works. I am believing that by the end of the summer, we will see a drastic improvement in this whole situation, and there won't be any long-term issues for my little man.
