Sunday Monday

Yesterday was a great day.

I visited a church for the first time... trying to find a new church for our family. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Wouldn't mind staying there... but I think there is at least one more church I need to try this weekend. At any rate, it was great to be back in church again.

After church, we had a pretty easy-going afternoon. Lucas' friend from work came over and had lunch with us and just hung out for a bit. I made buffalo chicken sandwiches for lunch, and was pleasantly pleased with how they turned out! Will be making those again for sure!

Our Sunday ended with a trip to Home Depot for a garage door opener and 2 ceiling fan / light combos for the 2 bedrooms that did not have overhead lights already installed. After shopping, we made a stop by another local park and let the kids run and play and enjoy the weather. It was CROWDED! I guess lots of people had the same idea. But the kids had fun.

My favorite part of Sunday, in general, was having the windows open and the breeze blowing through the house. Everything felt so fresh and cheery. What a difference a bit of fresh air can make!

This morning we were woken up by a crazy wind storm at about 4:30 in the morning. Just as the wind began to die down, it started raining. Hard. So there was not lots of sleep to be had after 4:30. At least for the grown ups. Thankfully the kids slept through it. Otherwise it would have been a rough morning getting ready for school.

This will be the kids' first full week of school in Indiana. We'll see how they're doing by the end of the week. For now, Meagan and I are just sort of hanging out. There is (always) a Barbie movie playing, and she is dressed up in a long blue gown and a Batman cape - love it. We're thinking of going down in the basement and tackling some of the boxes down there. If I can muster up the motivation to get started.... it would be great to get it done!

Anyway, happy Monday! If anything more exciting should happen to pop up, I'll let you know. For now, it's just an ordinary sort of day. One of the best kinds.
