Today

Last night we had our first official visitors in our new home - Lucas' parents came to visit! I LOVE having family visit. I love that we are still close enough to family that they CAN visit.

Today we took a short drive to a park here in town to see the trains. They have a transportation museum, but I think it is only opened seasonally. Apparently it's not in season yet, because all the trains were gated up. Still, as they were parked outside, we were able to see them, snap some pictures, and have a good time exploring up and down the tracks. What a beautiful day it was for being outdoors (although quite windy... our original plan was to launch rockets behind our house, but we thought the wind might carry them all the way back to Ohio... another day for that).

Some highlights of the day:

* The kids walked the tracks, trying their best to balance and not fall... not much luck.

* Sebastian and Isaac sprinted up and down the tracks (thankfully no wipe-outs... boys will be boys).

* Meagan went off exploring with Daddy and Grandpa.

* Daddy 'found' a sink-hole. Again, thankful for no injuries.

* Isaac found 2 snakes... this time, thankful I was not with him.

* Isaac got a bit bored for a moment, which he tends to do, but perked up and had fun all over again when I handed him the camera. Kid loves photography.

* After the park, we went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Sebastian found a triple peanut, which Meagan declared to be "very rare."

* When we got home, we went outside and started digging rocks and concrete chunks out of the yard so it's a bit cleaner whenever they lay the sod.

* We had to finally give up and go inside because the wind was blowing so hard.

It was great to have visitors. It was great to spend time with family members. It was great to be outside with no coats. Great day.
